Russian Circles release the first of a three part live in-studio video series which is the debut of the new in-studio sessions by Sargent House in conjunction with Terroreyes.TV. The clip is for the song “309” from the album, Empros. Audio for this session was engineered and mixed by Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Big Business) at Entourage Studios in North Hollywood.
Russian Circles also launch their North American and Australian/New Zealand headlining dates beginning next week and running well into Fall 2012. The band will be supported by Sargent House family bands Chelsea Wolfe and Marriages in North America and Southern Lord band Eagle Twin down under. Russian Circles drummer Dave Turncrantz will pull double-duty drumming for Marriages on all the US dates.

Today I am at the top of the Seattle AIDS Walk leader board (#1, y’all!) of fundraisers because my good friends just donated $500, taking me to $2200 and the event is still about 2 months away!
While I raised over $6000 last year, this $500 donation has me reeling! This is the largest single donation I have ever received. I even emailed my friend telling her that she probably just meant to donate $50 and that I could help her resolve the issue, since I work here at Lifelong AIDS Alliance.
This was her response:
“No, it wasn’t a mistake Reno. We have had so many incredible things happen to us, and believe that amazing, wonderful things don’t happen in a vacuum. It is our honor to support your work and Lifelong with our donation.”
I’m humbled by this act of generosity.
